• ● Preside over all meetings of the organization and serve as Chairperson of the Executive Committee

    ● Act as official representative of the organization at other meetings and events

    ● Provide leadership and direction for the organization as a whole

    ● Recruit the executive team, take on officer roles as needed/desired

    ● Recruit replacement officers for the following year, support recruiting of new executive team, and enable successful transition to new officers

    ● Ensure all required IRS and MN DoR paperwork completed in a timely fashion

  • ○ Provide IT support for the organization.

    ○ Manage appointment registration and all other technology/media utilized by the organization.

    ○ Develop and maintain website.

    ○ Work with ISSS to ensure that accurate information is posted on their website.

    ○ Maintain appointment scheduling system, including monitoring of appointments & waitlists to

    ensure client compliance with scheduling requirements.

    ○ Work with executive team to develop and implement social media plan.

  • ○ Develop and maintain the public face of the organization

    ○ Develop and revise organizational structure of tax clinics and reserve rooms for the organization.

    ○ Develop list of materials needed for clinics and training sessions (w/VP Training). Develop budget for supplies.

    ○ Monitor materials use during clinic to ensure volunteers and clients can complete their returns.

  • ● Handle all financial transactions of the organization.

    ● Maintain thorough and accurate records of all transactions.

    ● Produce financial reports as required by the organization.

    ● Work with executive team to develop annual budget based on prior year budget/expenses and changes to be implemented.

    ● Write grant requests to obtain budget funding, and administer any grants received.

    ● Identify other sources of funding.

    ● Develop & implement fundraising campaigns to obtain further funds.

  • ● Train early volunteers before clinics begin.

    ● Train late-recruit volunteers and ensure that they pass all testing and are fully

    prepared to operate during the clinics.

    ● Utilize IRS & MN DoR materials, and develop supporting training materials, documents, and work-aides for volunteers.

    ● Work with VP of Operations to obtain supplies and facilities for training sessions.

    ● Work with VP of Finance to develop budget for training.

  • ○ Write, develop and enforce internal policies and procedures

    ○ Manage internal information flow

    ○ Direct volunteer retention and promotion

    ○ Oversee, manage and delegate responsibilities to directors

  • ○ Facilitate the recruitment of volunteers through all available channels for as long as possible before clinics begin

    ○ Volunteer retention and promotion

  • ○ Email account, calendar, meeting scheduling

    ○ Record keeping, meeting minutes
